My professional background has nothing to do with playing cards at all. I am a professional tennis player who travels the world and hits a fuzzy yellow ball for a living. The only thing I have in common with playing cards is the crazy passion I have for them. It all started when I was 12 years old; getting into magic, sleight of hand, and eventually collecting. I became obsessed with collecting and learning more about the craft and design of playing cards and realized it is time to create my own deck of cards, or at least try!
After a year in the making, I present to you the Royal Verge Playing Cards. I will be honest with you, what you see is what you get. No more, no less. The name of the deck emerges from the iconic two way back design featuring Vintage Clocks with Roman Numerals inspired by the Victorian Era. I am super excited and thrilled to showcase my first custom deck on Kickstarter. I don't want to bore you with unnecessary information so let's get to the important details. The playing cards will be printed by Cartamundi in Belgium, while the tuck cases and orders will be printed and fulfilled by Gambler's Warehouse in the United States. The shipping will be directly from Gambler Warehouse, one of the most trusted fulfillment centers out there. This deck was designed by myself and Destino.
Destino is a graphic designer and illustrator who specializes in playing cards, branding, and package design. He has worked with countless clients but some of you may already know him from other decks he created and you likely own. In the magic industry alone he has worked with famous magicians to create breathtaking designs for their projects such as Paul Harris, Joao Miranda, Damien O'Brien, Mahdi Gilbert. We have worked really hard this past year to bring this project to life and make sure every little detail is perfect. The Royal Verge will be produced exclusively by Dealt Company.
